Final expansion and connection component for HydraSlitter® flexi‑tooling systems

The HydraSlitter® Expander Assembly performs the final expansion of the host pipe during lead or copper service line replacement. As part of the modular flexi‑tooling string, it enlarges the existing 1/2″ to 1.25″ service line into the surrounding soil, creating the necessary space to install 1.25″ new pipe along the same path.

In addition to completing the expansion process, the expander assembly also houses the jaw assembly for secure cable attachment and includes a swivel clevis for connecting the new pipe via a pipe grip—ensuring smooth, aligned, and reliable installation.
