Build Your PortaBurst PB30X Package

Configure a complete PortaBurst system and price it in real time. Select your bursting unit, choose compatible Quick Grip tooling, and add the accessories your crew needs for efficient lateral replacement work.

1. Choose Your PortaBurst Unit

PB30X — Up to 30 tons of pulling force for 2–6" lateral bursting

PB13X — Hydraulic power supply for the PB30X, available with tethered or optional wireless control

2. Add a Quick Grip® Burst Head

Select the Quick Grip head sized for your typical 2–6" replacements. Each head provides fast, tool‑free cable attachment and integrates with slitter blades, mandrels, and pullers.

3. Select Your Swaged Cable

Choose the correct length of 3/4" swaged, stud‑end cable for your average run distance. Additional lengths can be added for longer or variable job conditions.

4. Add Cage Assemblies

Include cage assemblies to manage tooling arrival in the pit. Each cage positions the Quick Grip head and accessories directly in front of the PB30X, allowing crews to quickly disconnect the tooling from the cable and streamline turnaround between bursts.

We recommend up to three cages depending on the overall tooling‑string length.

5. Add Ground Support

Add a shore plate to stabilize the PortaBurst unit in the pit and maintain proper alignment during bursting. Two plates are recommended for maximum stability.

6. Add Wireless Controls (Optional)

Upgrade to the wireless kit for remote operation when paired with the PB13X, improving visibility and safety around the pit.
